In this series of simulations, we'll demonstrate the proper procedures and techniques for performing preventive maintenance on a rooftop HVAC unit. Now, these procedures are very important to maintain safe operation, proper efficiency, as well as capacity of a rooftop HVAC unit.

A rooftop package unit combines both a traditional split AC system and heating system into a single cabinet. They can vary greatly in size, but typically have 2 stages of cooling and 2 stages of heating. They can be equipped with economizers as well. In this course you will learn how to troubleshoot one of these units. It covers faults in both the cooling stage and heating stage, and will guide you through the process of finding the fault.
