The Diagnosing A/C systems course is a culmination of everything you have learned about air conditioning systems. Some new terminology will be introduced, that will help simplify the organized methods of troubleshooting you will be taught. These methods will equip you with the tools to methodically, and accurately, diagnoses a system. You will first review the characterizations of a normal system, which will enable you to recognize non-normal indications and correlate those indications to a faulty system component. After going through all the faulty component characteristics, you will practice everything you have learned and work through eleven, in depth example scenarios.

This course introduces multi-location light control to expand your skills and knowledge of electrical circuits and diagnosing faults. The setting is inside a residential dining room that has two 3-way switches at two entries into the room, and one of those switches is also a dimmer. Three-way light switching involves connecting two ‘traveler’ wires between the two switches so that either switch can turn the lights on or off independently. The scenarios in this course involve diagnosing why the lights and the receptacles might not be working properly.
