First, you'll learn how DC circuits fit into the real world and how Kirchhoff's Law and Ohm's Law apply to series and parallel DC circuits. Then you'll get to practice building DC circuits in Interplay Learning's guided electrical simulation lab.

First, you'll get to build a combination circuit, then test Kirchhoff's Voltage Law, calculate the total resistance of the circuit, and then find the current using Ohm's Law.

Caulk can be used for many applications, including windows, doors, and fixtures in the bathroom or kitchen. This course covers the different kinds of caulk and what they’re used for, the tools needed, and how to properly remove and apply caulk to specific building materials.

In this course, we learn the most common pump failures in CHVAC systems. We learn how to diagnose and fix faulted pumps. With a focus on centrifugal pumps, we learn the symptoms of the most common pump failures. We get hands-on experience repairing those problems using a 3D simulation program. We learn a repeatable process so that we can diagnose problems reliably. We learn the common risks of pump repair so that we can fix problems safely.

Charging Part 1 starts with the reasons why proper charging is so important. It covers gauge connections and purging, charging through the low side of the system, and removing gauges. It also explores the tools used for charging such as pressure/temperature charts, analog gauges, and temperature measuring tools.

Charging Part 2 starts with superheat and subcooling basics. It covers why, when, and where to measure superheat, superheat charging charts, and reading subcooling tables and curves. It also explores the relationship between refrigerant pressures and airflow. This course follows Charging Part 1: Tools and Rules.

In this course learners will learn how to identify the different types of chiller systems, their purpose in a building, their basic components, and about the heat rejection side of the system. Learners will also look at primary and secondary refrigerants so they can identify them, look at how they flow through a system and change states, as well as compare the refrigeration cycle of a chiller to that of residential AC units.
