You'll see what it takes to plan and install a utility-scale project and what type of workforce opportunities these projects provide.

We’ll then examine the parts we’ll need for installation along with the required tools for the job. Furthermore we’ll learn safety measures to help keep people and property safe. Finally we'll perform a simulation where we’ll install a flange and a toilet on a concrete floor. We'll wrap up our simulation with testing to make sure everything is working right.

This course takes a comprehensive journey into the foundational principles of practical geometry in plumbing. The learner will master circle measurements for precise pipefitting and understand how angles bends and turns are crucial for system design. Participants will learn the characteristics of right triangles and use the Pythagorean Theorem to calculate offsets and fitting allowances which are essential in overcoming obstacles in plumbing installations. Additionally the course covers calculating fluid volume emphasizing the weight of water and its significance in plumbing and pipefitting.

In this blended course we will learn about the purpose of a toilet shim and how to install one. You will have the opportunity to install a toilet shim on your own while using the appropriate tools from your virtual toolbox. You will also follow the appropriate procedures and guidelines as you complete each step of installation.
