In this course you will learn about identifying outdated and unsafe electrical setups recognize the hazards associated with them and how to assess and mitigate those hazards while prioritizing safety. You will also be reminded to assume that older wiring setups are live and ungrounded. We will cover outdated wiring setups such as knob and tube wiring and cloth-insulated wiring and discuss wiring conductors like copper aluminum and copper-clad aluminum. Finally we will focus on older electrical panels and fuse boxes including those that are no longer suitable for modern use.
