This course covers the basics of pressure and refrigerants. Starting with barometric pressure, what it is, and how to measure it. After that we explore how to change pressure using a pump before moving on to the compound, or low-side, gauge. Finally, we explore at what a gauge manifold is and how to read it as well as taking a more in-depth look at the pressure-temperature relationship and how to read a chart reflecting it. By the end of the course you’ll have a great foundation of knowledge on pressure and refrigerant basics. This will not only help to better prepare you for the HVAC industry, but also be ready to learn more advanced concepts and ideas to expand your expertise.
