Mechanics Introduction will explain how fundamental principles of force energy power and work contributed to the design and creation of simple machines later used by engineers to create the complex machines used in industrial warehouse environments. Starting from an exploration of the basic principles of mechanics learners will understand how simple machines like the lever wheel and axle pulley inclined plane wedge and screw were developed to provide mechanical advantages that magnify force and allow work to be performed more easily. They will then learn how the concept of power transmission and mechanical power transmission elements such as bearings shafts and couplings belts and pulleys chains and sprockets gears and gearboxes contributed to the design and creation of more complex machines. The course concludes with an introduction to potential hazards and safety precautions every industrial maintenance technician must be aware of when working with all machines simple or complex.
