A well-working exhaust fan is essential to the functioning of the entire CHVAC system. Fans are one of the most reliable components of a CHVAC system. Still it's important to have an ongoing schedule of preventive maintenance for exhaust fans. In this course we will learn the maintenance that a technician should perform on a centrifugal backward inclined exhaust fan. We will learn to recognize the most common signs of wear and tear and what steps to take to prevent them from growing into major problems. We will learn the risks of working with fast moving blades and high voltages and what steps the HVAC technician must take to stay safe. We apply the concepts we learn by conducting various maintenance and repairs on a virtual exhaust fan.
