Proper grounding and bonding in electrical systems helps to ensure the safety of people and property. This course introduces the learner to the fundamentals of grounding and bonding, including the concepts and components of grounding and bonding. It covers how grounding and bonding work together to help ensure safety and the importance of conforming to the standards outlined in Article 250 of the NFPA 70®, National Electrical Code® (NEC®). A final chapter covers what can go wrong along with maintenance guidelines to prevent and avoid grounding and bonding issues.
