The Foundations of PV course is for those just starting out in the industry, who wish to gain a deeper and broader foundational knowledge about all aspects of modern solar photovoltaics. We explore the early and recent history of the field, and explain in detail the wide range of applications of solar technology, both off the grid and connected to utility power, including a clear explanation of where and how the current explosive growth in grid-connected systems started. You will also become familiar with all the key electrical components of various PV solutions, and how they work together to give power day and night, including the emerging trend for battery storage.
