Assistance Animals in Multifamily Housing (TDHCA)

Issues surrounding assistance animals are some of the more complicated ones to navigate in the property management industry. In this course you will learn how federal laws regarding service and assistance animals apply to multifamily properties, strategies for handling accommodation requests related to assistance animals, and what to do when you suspect a medical verification for an assistance animal is not legitimate. This course, along with the other TDHCA-designated Fair Housing courses, is part of the content approved by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) to meet the state of Texas' five-hour Fair Housing training requirement.
